One strategy I see often; Customers use our integrated functions between easyBid and easyPurchase to present contracted items to end users for contract compliance. A 300 line item bid can easily be displayed as a purchase catalog for initiating requisitions and eventually into purchase orders.
We have this same functionality between easyQuote and easyPurchase, but it is not practiced as often. This can save an organization significant man hours and increase productivity. Many customers continue to quote the same items over and over again, which becomes a redundant process and wastes a great deal of time. Instead of creating esveral quotes for the same items, create one and share as a purchase catalog over the entire organization.
We recommend that the purchasing group review the top 100-200 items that are quoted regularly. Once identified, a single quote can be developed for those highly used commodities (ie. toner and inkjet cartridges). Once the quote is complete, the system can convert it into an easyPurchase catalog overnight. At that time any department can leverage the catalog pricing for their needs. This becomes a more efficient model and can be done quarterly with minimal effort.
